Research work of the department
The Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology No. 2 actively conducts research in the fields of internal medicine and cardiology. The Department’s research activities are aimed at advancing knowledge in these disciplines and addressing current social, economic, and medical challenges. Research findings contribute to the development of scientific thinking and clinical practice and also enhance and enrich the educational process.
The academic staff of the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology No. 2 constitutes a key component of the educational process. Their high level of professional competence, scientific achievements, and commitment to innovation create a favorable environment for teaching and research and contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists. The Department is staffed by qualified academic and teaching personnel who ensure a high standard of education and research. At present, the Department employs 1 professor, 2 associate professors, 1 senior lecturer, and 12 assistant lecturers.
All members of the Department actively participate in the research activities of both the Department and the University. At present, 3 staff members are independent researchers: Xasanjanova F.O. (DSc), Mirzaev R.Z. (PhD), and Abdullayeva Z.A. (PhD); 1 staff member, Muxiddinov A.I., is also enrolled in a basic doctoral (PhD) program.
Over the past 5 years, the Department staff have published more than 500 scientific works, including 10 textbooks, 19 teaching manuals, and 16 monographs; developed 30 electronic programs; and obtained 1 patent for an invention and 1 patent for a utility model. A total of 81 scientific articles have been published in journals indexed in Scopus, along with more than 300 articles in leading national and international journals. As part of its international collaboration, the Department of Internal Medicine and Cardiology No. 2 has organized 10 international scientific conferences and 24 webinars.
