MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE SECTION


  Starting from the 2020-2021 academic year, Samarkand State Medical University, together with foreign medical universities, began accepting residents in a number of areas on the basis of joint education.

  Master's degree residents conduct classes, rotations, scientific research, and clinical activities at the SamSMU bases (Clinics 1 and 2, research institutes and centers of SamSMU, Children's Multidisciplinary Medical Center, Samarkand branch of the RSNPMC, large state and private medical clinics).

   Persons with an academic title (academic degree) and continuous scientific and pedagogical (scientific) work experience of at least 3 years, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) or other equivalent academic degree from foreign countries, are involved in pedagogical activities in the master's program.

  The topics of the master's dissertation are devoted to the most relevant topics.
As is known, the master's program is the basis for training scientific personnel. Our pillars are highly educated, talented Master's graduates, many of whom continue their scientific activities within the walls of our university and in other advanced centers. Most of the graduates will work in practical and scientific healthcare and in leadership positions in higher medical organizations.
  The personnel trained at our university are highly valued not only in the republic, but also abroad. SamSMU graduates are invited to work on grants in countries of the near and far abroad.

MAIN TASKS OF THE DEPARTMENT


  General management of all activities and personnel of the department;
The main goal of the university's master's department is to train highly qualified, highly cultured, spiritually and intellectually mature, competitive masters who meet international standards in terms of knowledge at the master's level of the continuous education system.

The Master's Department is an educational, scientific, and administrative structural unit of the university, which trains masters in several specialties.

The educational process in the master's program is organized on the basis of the State Educational Standards of Higher Education (State Educational Standards of Higher Education) and curricula approved by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, developed by the basic higher educational institution in the relevant field of study (specialization of the master's program), examined in the prescribed manner by the State Testing Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and discussed at the council for coordinating the activities of educational and methodological associations in the areas of higher and secondary specialized, vocational education.

Organization of the educational process, participation in the compilation of the training schedule, determination and control of the volume of independent work of the master's student.

Formation, jointly with specialized departments and enterprises and organizations of the ministry system, of a database of topics for master's dissertations devoted to topical problems of the industry.

Conclusion of cooperation agreements between specialized departments and professional colleges and academic lyceums, as well as the organization of scientific and pedagogical internships for master's students.

Formation of draft orders related to master's students and their submission to the rector of the university.

Conducting spiritual, educational, and upbringing work among master's students, familiarizing them with the rules of etiquette and morality.

Organization of scientific internships for master's students in cooperation with enterprises and organizations of the system and development of measures to increase their effectiveness together with specialized departments.

Organization and implementation of admission to the University's Master's program, as well as submitting proposals and comments on admission to higher organizations in cooperation with the University's management.

Studying the experience of foreign universities in organizing and implementing master's degree activities, developing measures to increase their effectiveness, and implementing them in the educational process.

Recommendation of gifted students studying in master's programs for state pediatrics.

Organization of internships with the International Department of the University in foreign higher educational institutions based on exchange programs.
