CLINICAL RESIDENCY

According to the Regulation on Clinical Residency, the general requirements for the training of clinical residents are determined by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 18 December 2009 No 319 "On Improving the Qualification and Retraining System of Medical Personnel". Doctors are trained in clinical residency in accordance with the curriculum and syllabus for each speciality, with the nomenclature of medical specialities approved by the Ministry of Health. The work of the department is conducted to ensure the objectives put forward in the Presidential Decree number UP60 dated 28 January 2022 "On strategy for the development of New Uzbekistan for 20222026 years", Presidential Decree dated 06.05.2019, number PP4310 "On measures for further development of medical and pharmaceutical education and science" and other relevant legal and regulatory documents.
Objectives of the Clinical Residency Department:
- to conduct orientation and educational work with bachelor graduates in clinical residency of Samarkand State Medical University about the goals and conditions of training;
- to participate in the development and approval of normative documents for clinical residency specialties and their continuous improvement;
- to organise the training process for clinical residents, control the quality of education and training;
- to monitor employment for improvement of practical skills in all specialties of clinical residency;
- to organise involvement of famous scientists, highly qualified specialists in the process of training of clinical residents;
- to create conditions for increasing scientific interest of clinical residents;
- to supervise and coordinate the work on training of clinical residents at the chairs of the University;
- to monitor the employment of graduates of clinical residents;
- to organise research of supply and demand;
- to create a database of vacancies in the labour market in the areas of clinical residency;
