REGULATIONS
Internal Regulations of Samarkand State Medical University
These Internal Regulations (hereinafter - Regulations) have been developed in consideration of the Labour Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law “On education”, other normative legal acts of higher education and are a local normative document that provides regulation of relationship connected with working, teaching, research activity and educational process in a university.
Chapter 1. Basic Regulations
1. The following basic concepts are used in the present Rules:
employee is citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as foreign citizens and stateless persons who have reached a certain age and have concluded an employment contract with the university;
employment contract is an agreement between an employee and the university to perform work in a particular specialty, qualifications, position of the parties for remuneration on the basis of conditions established by labor legislation and other regulatory documents in accordance with the rules of internal work regulations;
professor-employees are citizens which are hired as head of department, professor, associate professor, senior lecturer, lecturer;
doctoral student is a person admitted to the university in accordance with the established procedure to study for a basic doctorate or a doctorate;
independent co-researcher is a person admitted to the university as an independent researcher in accordance with the established procedure;
student is a person admitted to the university with the purpose of obtaining education in the respective specialty and a person receiving education and training.
2. These rules constitute the internal work regulations of the university, covering the duties of the university, management, employee, student, doctoral student, independent scholar, as well as the procedure for hiring, changing and terminating the employment contract, organization of the educational process, work and study discipline, working time, rest time and its use, as well as encouragement for achievements in work and study, responsibility for violation of work and study discipline, order in the territory and premises of the institution…
CODE OF ETHICS OF SAMARKAND STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
Chapter 1: Basic Regulations
Article 1: Relationships regulated by this Code
Current Code is developed in accordance with the Law “On Education” of the Republic of Uzbekistan, other laws and regulations, and regulates the relations between teachers and other staff, students, doctoral students of the University (hereinafter - employee, student and doctoral student).
Article 2: Aims and Objectives of Code of Ethics
The aim of the Code of Ethics is to develop a common culture among the staff, students and doctoral candidates; to promote an appropriate image of the staff, students and doctoral candidates of the University; to educate staff, students and doctoral candidates in the spirit of respect for the University and its values; to improve the concept of etiquette of an educational institution and develop a unified approach to the requirements of appearance and conduct in the University.
The objectives of the code of ethics are: prevention of offences and crimes, prevention and eradication of inappropriate behaviour related to violation of the rules of conduct, including violence, cruelty and indecency among staff, students and doctoral students; protection against the influence and attacks of various negative vices and ideas and views alien to our national mentality, extremism, separatism, fundamentalism and "popular culture"...
