The Department of Endocrinology of Samarkand State Medical University regularly carries out activities aimed at developing international cooperation, strengthening scientific and academic collaboration with foreign higher education institutions and research centers, studying and implementing advanced international practices in modern medical education and endocrinology.

  The Department’s international cooperation activities cover the following main areas:

• developing scientific cooperation with foreign higher education institutions and research centers in the field of endocrinology;
• studying modern diagnostic and treatment methods and introducing advanced international practices into the educational and clinical processes;
• developing academic and scientific cooperation among academic staff, young researchers, Master’s residents, clinical residents, and students;
• actively participating in international scientific and practical conferences, congresses, seminars, master classes, and other scientific events;
• conducting joint scientific research with foreign specialists;
• publishing joint scientific articles and abstracts in international scientific journals;
• developing international cooperation among student scientific societies;
• developing experience-exchange programs, scientific internships, and professional development programs.

  INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION

  The academic staff and talented students of the Department of Endocrinology actively participate in international scientific and practical conferences, Olympiads, and other scientific events.

  On May 14, 2026, an integrated student scientific society meeting on the topic “Current Issues in Endocrinology” was organized with the participation of students from the Department of Endocrinology of Samarkand State Medical University and the Department of Endocrinology of Avicenna Tajik State Medical University. This event contributed to the development of international scientific cooperation, experience exchange among students, and discussion of current issues in endocrinology.

  The participation of the Department’s students in international scientific events is also highly active. In particular, members of the “Young Endocrinologists” Student Scientific Society actively participated in the VI International Olympiad for Medical Students held at Samarkand State Medical University and were awarded First-, Second-, and Third-Degree Diplomas.

  In addition, students and young researchers of the Department participated in the 80th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Achievements of Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy” and were awarded diplomas of various degrees.

  COOPERATION IN INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS

  The Department has established activities aimed at publishing scientific articles and abstracts by academic staff, students, and Master’s residents in international scientific publications.

  During the 2025–2026 academic year, talented students and Master’s residents of the Department, in collaboration with their academic supervisors, published 20 scientific articles and abstracts in national and international scientific journals.

  The scientific works include research dedicated to primary hyperaldosteronism, thyroid diseases, autoimmune thyroiditis, diabetic nephropathy, gestational hyperglycemia, hyperthyroidism, and other endocrine diseases.

  MAIN AREAS OF COOPERATION

  The Department’s international cooperation activities are being further developed in the following areas:

• studying modern methods for the diagnosis and treatment of endocrine diseases;
• conducting scientific research on diabetes mellitus and its complications;
• developing scientific cooperation in the field of thyroid diseases and autoimmune endocrine pathologies;
• studying endocrine diseases during pregnancy;
• conducting research on metabolic syndrome and obesity;
• studying modern laboratory and instrumental diagnostic methods in endocrinology;
• exchanging experience in the management and analysis of clinical cases;
• expanding the participation of students and young scientists in international scientific projects.

  The Department of Endocrinology places particular emphasis on further expanding international cooperation, strengthening scientific and academic relations with foreign specialists, developing joint research projects, and implementing international educational initiatives.
