Research work of the department
The Department’s research areas include modern methods for the diagnosis and treatment of congenital malformations and diseases of the urinary, respiratory, and gastrointestinal systems; minimally invasive pediatric surgery; purulent diseases of the abdominal cavity; echinococcosis; and other relevant areas.
The Department’s research activities also address the education of the younger generation in the spirit of commitment to the ideals of independence, the development of young people’s legal culture, philosophical issues in modern medical science, and various aspects of the history of Uzbek statehood.
All members of the Department actively participate in the research activities of both the Department and the University. Currently, the Department has four independent researchers (U.Kh. Khayitov, B.B. Khamrayev, K.N. Ibragimov, and J.J. Kurbonov) and four doctoral students (I.Yu. Akhmedov, N.N. Mavlanov, S.U. Muhsinov, and S.E. Tursunov).
Over the past 10 years, the Department’s staff have published more than 300 scientific works, including 1 textbook, 21 educational and teaching-methodological manuals, 5 monographs, 8 electronic educational programs, and more than 100 scientific articles in leading national and international journals.
