The research activities of the Department of Hygiene of the Faculty of Management and Administration are aimed at addressing urgent issues in the field of public health protection and improving quality of life. The main focus is placed on the comprehensive study of environmental factors and human living conditions, the development and implementation of scientifically grounded measures for disease prevention, the promotion of healthy lifestyle principles, as well as the strengthening of physical and mental health among the younger generation.
The department’s scientific work covers a wide range of directions: from analyzing the impact of ecological and social factors on human health to exploring innovative approaches in the prevention of nutrition-related and occupational diseases, improving sanitary and hygienic standards and regulations, as well as studying the influence of educational and working environments on the health of children, adolescents, and the adult population.
The department is headed by Associate Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, P.N. Fayziboev.
The following PhD candidates are actively involved in the department’s research activities:
Z.K. Bulyaev – PhD topic: “Modern social and hygienic aspects of Hepatitis A and the improvement of preventive measures”;
Kh.A. Kurbanova – PhD topic: “The impact of iron-deficiency anemia on the formation of key health indicators in children under modern conditions”;
O.T. Musaeva – PhD topic: “A comprehensive approach to the rehabilitation of geriatric patients in outpatient practice, taking into account gender characteristics.”
Under the leadership of the head of the department, Associate Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences P.N. Fayziboev, young assistants M.M. Saotov, L.Kh. Elmurodova, and M.A. Namozboeva are actively engaged in research, with dissertation topics planned for approval in 2025–2026. Their proposed research directions are connected with pressing issues of preventive medicine: hygienic assessment of environmental factors, protection of children’s and adolescents’ health, improvement of preventive programs, and the promotion of healthy lifestyle formation. This will strengthen the department’s scientific potential and contribute to the development of new directions in hygiene and public health.
Over the past three years, the department has published more than 200 scientific works, including:

2 methodological recommendations,
5 teaching and methodological manuals,
5 electronic programs, about 150 articles in leading national and international journals.
The primary attention is given to strengthening the health and well-being of the population, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and implementing scientific achievements in healthcare practice and the educational process.
