From 2015 to 2020, the subjects related to the field of hygiene were taught within the structure of the Faculty of General Medicine without an independent department.

  On the basis of Order No. 543 A/F dated July 3, 2020, and Resolution No. 9 of the Academic Council of Samarkand State Medical Institute dated June 24, 2020, the Faculty of Medical Prevention, Public Health, and Medical Biology was established in order to ensure the high-quality organization of the educational process. Beginning with the 2025–2026 academic year, the name of the faculty was changed to the Faculty of Management and Administration.

  Since the establishment of the faculty and up to the present time, the position of Dean has been held by Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Bakhrom Eshnazarovich Tuxtarov.

  According to Resolution No. 1 of the meeting of the Academic Council of Samarkand State Medical Institute dated September 5, 2022, the “Hygiene” Department was separated from the structure of the “General Hygiene and Ecology” Department and established as an independent department.

  The first Head of the Department was appointed Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Fayziboyev Pirmamat Normamatovich.

  Fayziboyev Pirmamat Normamatovich graduated from the Faculty of Medical Prevention of the 2nd Tashkent State Medical Institute in 1995.

  From 1995 to 1998, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Nutrition Hygiene of the Medical Institute. From 1998 to 2006, he held the position of assistant at the Department of General Practice Training.

  From 2006, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Epidemiology, and from 2011 to 2020, he served as a senior lecturer at the same department.

  From September 2, 2020, he worked as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medical Prevention, Public Health, and Medical Biology of Samarkand State Medical Institute and as Acting Associate Professor at the Department of General Hygiene and Medical Ecology.

  Since September 6, 2022, he has been working as the Head of the Hygiene Department of Samarkand State Medical University. 

  In 2012, he defended his candidate dissertation on the topic: “Hygienic justification of ensuring the safety, high nutritional value, and biological quality of vegetable and melon products during their transportation by railway transport.”

  On April 20, 2023, he defended his doctoral (DSc) dissertation on the topic: “Hygienic justification of the production and consumption of confectionery products in the conditions of Uzbekistan through the implementation of the HACCP international system.”

  P.N. Fayziboyev is the author of 4 учебные пособия, 4 monographs, 6 educational and methodological manuals, 4 educational and methodological recommendations, 5 Sanitary Rules and Regulations (SanQvaM), 4 technical specifications, and more than 140 scientific articles and conference theses.

  The Hygiene Department of Samarkand State Medical University is located on the basis of the Samarkand Regional Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing and Public Health, as well as its city division. During practical training sessions, students have the opportunity to receive qualified education and gain practical experience in the department’s specialized units and laboratories, including sanitary-epidemiological, immunological, virological, toxicological, parasitological departments, and laboratories for especially dangerous quarantine infections.

  The Department primarily provides instruction to senior students of the “Medical Preventive Care” program of the Faculty of Management and Administration in the following disciplines: Communal Hygiene, Occupational Hygiene, Nutrition Hygiene, Hygiene of Children and Adolescents, and Radiation Hygiene.

  Currently, the academic staff of the “Hygiene” Department consists of the following specialists:

  Bulyayev Zokir Karimovich – Senior Lecturer of the Hygiene Department.

  In 2020, he worked as an assistant at the Department of General Hygiene and Ecology. Since 2023, he has been working as a Senior Lecturer at the Hygiene Department.

  Bulyayev Zokir Karimovich is the author of 2 textbooks, 3 educational and methodological manuals, and more than 20 scientific articles.

  Kurbanova Khurliman Amangeldiyevna – Senior Lecturer of the Hygiene Department.

  Since 2015, she has worked at Samarkand State Medical Institute as an assistant at the Department of Social Health and General Hygiene, and in 2020 she worked as an assistant at the Department of General Hygiene and Ecology. Since 2023, she has been working as a Senior Lecturer at the Hygiene Department.

  Kurbanova Kh.A. is the author of 3 textbooks, 6 educational and methodological manuals, and more than 30 scientific articles.

  Kurbanova Kh.A. has started work on a dissertation titled “The Influence of Iron Deficiency Anemia and the Formation of the Main Indicators of Children’s Health in Modern Conditions” in order to obtain the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

  Soatov Mirmuhsin Maxmatmurot o‘g‘li – Since 2022, he has been working as a trainee assistant at the Hygiene Department of Samarkand State Medical University. He is responsible for the electronic modular educational program of the Department.

  M.M. Soatov has published more than 40 scientific articles and conference theses in international and national scientific-practical journals.

  Nomozboyeva Maftuna Abduhamid qizi – Since 2022, she has been working as an assistant at the Hygiene Department of Samarkand State Medical University. Currently, she is responsible for academic and educational affairs at the Department.

  M.A. Nomozboyeva has published more than 25 scientific articles and conference theses in international and national scientific-practical journals.

  Elmurodova Lenara Xudayberdi qizi – Since 2022, she has been working as an assistant at the Hygiene Department of Samarkand State Medical University. She is responsible for the Students’ Scientific Society at the Department.

  L.X. Elmurodova has published more than 30 scientific articles and conference theses in international and national scientific-practical journals.

  Abdimuminova Laylo Abdimuminovna – Since 2024, she has been working as a trainee assistant at the Hygiene Department of Samarkand State Medical University. She is responsible for the duties of the Department Secretary.

  L.A. Abdimuminova has published more than 10 scientific articles and conference theses in international and national scientific-practical journals.

  Boysariyev Bekzod Jo‘ra o‘g‘li – Since 2024, he has been working as a trainee assistant at the Hygiene Department of Samarkand State Medical University. He is responsible for mentoring (teacher–student) and cooperation activities at the Department.

  B.J. Boysariyev has published more than 10 scientific articles and conference theses in international and national scientific-practical journals.

  Ibragimova Fayruza Sobir qizi – Since 2024, she has been working as a trainee assistant at the Hygiene Department of Samarkand State Medical University. She is responsible for spiritual, educational, and cultural activities at the Department.

  F.S. Ibragimova has published more than 15 scientific articles and conference theses in international and national scientific-practical journals.

  Maxmaraimov Fuzayil Ilhom o‘g‘li – Since 2024, he has been working as a trainee assistant at the Hygiene Department of Samarkand State Medical University. He is responsible for organizing sports competitions at the Department.

  F.I. Maxmaraimov has published more than 10 scientific articles and conference theses in international and national scientific-practical journals.
