The development of international cooperation is one of the department’s top priorities. International collaboration provides students and faculty with the opportunity to learn about the latest research findings and cutting-edge advancements in the field of dentistry.

  The main goal of international cooperation is to bring together educational institutions that train specialists in the field of dentistry and to foster mutually beneficial professional and scientific collaboration among them. An important aspect of this cooperation is the exchange of scientific information, modern methods, and practical experience.

  Given the rapid development of dentistry, the introduction of innovative technologies, modern materials, and instruments—whose effectiveness has already been proven in international practice—is of particular importance. Studying and applying these technologies and materials helps improve the quality of training for future specialists and enhances the professional competencies of practicing dentists.

  In modern orthopedic dentistry, both fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills play an important role. In this regard, hands-on workshops, demonstrations of modern treatment methods, and direct interaction with experienced instructors and mentor dentists are particularly valuable.

  As a result of this collaboration, the parties have agreed to develop and coordinate relevant topics, as well as to organize lectures and hands-on workshops in both in-person and online formats.

  Improving and implementing standards, diagnostic methods, treatments, and preventive measures for various diseases in accordance with international quality standards is one of the main goals of our partnership, as outlined in the joint Memorandum; the most effective way to achieve this is by adopting best international practices.

  Samarkand State Medical University maintains ties with more than 60 national and international organizations, foreign universities, and research centers participating in international cooperation in the fields of education and science, based on the principle of equality. Cooperation with universities in Europe, Asia, North America, and the CIS is based on joint programs and educational mobility.

  Every year, the number of highly qualified specialists, professors, students, and researchers from abroad visiting SamGMU to establish partnerships, study, pursue professional development, and participate in scientific conferences continues to grow.

  The first delegation, consisting of 4th- and 5th-year students and led by Department Assistant N. Kh. Ortikova, visited the Central Research Center of the dental company Ivoclar, located in Ellwangen (Frankfurt am Main), Germany.

  In addition, from May 13 to May 16, 2026, department assistants Nilufar Bustanovna Islamova and Marzhona Bakhodirovna Turumova were part of a delegation that visited the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia.
