International Cooperation Relations

  The international activities of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry at Samarkand State Medical University are carried out in accordance with the university’s strategic development priorities and are aimed at further strengthening its reputation and position within the global educational and scientific community.

  One of the key areas of the department’s work is the development and expansion of international cooperation. This activity includes increasing the number of international students, establishing and strengthening partnerships with foreign universities and research institutions, implementing joint scientific and educational projects, and expanding the participation of international lecturers and researchers in the department’s educational and research activities. Particular attention is paid to the development of joint educational programs and academic exchange.

  Each year, there is growing interest among international specialists and representatives of foreign educational institutions in cooperation with the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry. As part of its international collaboration, the department welcomes highly qualified specialists, professors and lecturers, students, and researchers from various countries. Their participation promotes the exchange of professional experience and up-to-date knowledge, enhances professional qualifications, develops academic and business contacts, and facilitates joint participation in scientific and practical conferences and other international events.

  The expansion of international partnerships enables the department to strengthen its educational and research potential, incorporate advanced international experience into the educational process, and create new opportunities for the professional and academic development of lecturers, researchers, and students.

  The Department regularly organizes lectures and webinars within the framework of academic mobility in cooperation with leading medical higher education institutions of the CIS countries, effectively utilizing the Zoom online platform.

  During the period from 2020 to 2026, numerous webinars and lectures were held as part of this cooperation, attracting considerable interest among students. The invited specialists included:

  • Belenova Irina Aleksandrovna — Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Advanced Training in Dentistry at N. N. Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University;
  • Gazhzva Svetlana Iosifovna — Doctor of Medical Sciences, Lecturer at the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of Privolzhsky Research Medical University;
  • Gileva Olga Sergeevna — Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry and Propaedeutics at Academician E. A. Wagner Perm State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation;
  • Matveev Andrey Mikhailovich — Candidate of Medical Sciences, representative of Belarusian State Medical University.

  The organization of such lectures and webinars contributes to the expansion of the department’s international partnerships, facilitates the exchange of up-to-date scientific knowledge and practical experience, and enhances the quality of students’ professional training.

  As part of the development of international relations, the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry is consistently expanding cooperation with leading foreign dental educational and research institutions. Particular attention is given to establishing long-term partnerships, exchanging professional expertise, and developing joint scientific and educational activities.

  An important component of international cooperation is the academic exchange of faculty members and students, the implementation of joint research projects in the field of therapeutic dentistry, as well as the organization of online lectures, thematic webinars, training courses, and practical master classes involving specialists from different countries.

  The implementation of these initiatives contributes to strengthening the department’s international reputation, expanding its participation in the global scientific and educational community, and improving the quality of professional training. International experience and recent scientific achievements are actively incorporated into the educational process to enhance teaching methods and introduce innovative approaches to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental diseases.
