The international cooperation objectives of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry at Samarkand State Medical University are based on the university's development concept and aimed at strengthening its position in the international educational space. The main advantages of internationalization are an increase in the number of students from abroad, the development of joint projects with foreign higher education institutions and research centers, an increase in the number of researchers and teachers from foreign higher education institutions, and an increase in the number of joint programs with foreign higher education institutions. Every year, the number of highly qualified specialists, faculty, students and researchers from abroad who visit the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry in order to establish business contacts, study, improve their skills, and participate in scientific conferences is growing.
The department regularly organizes lectures and webinars with prestigious medical universities in the CIS countries as part of academic mobility, effectively using the Zoom online platform. During the years 2020-2025, among the webinars held, students were very interested in lectures given repeatedly : Irina Alexandrovna Belenova– MD, Professor, Head of the Department of Higher Education in Dentistry at Voronezh State Medical University named after N.N. Nikolaeva Elena Vladimirovna – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, Prevention of Dental Diseases, Izhevsk State Medical Academy. Gileva Olga Sergeevna - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor , Head of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry and Propaedeutics of Dental Diseases, Perm State University Medical University named after Academician E.A.Wagner of the Ministry of Health of Russia. Andrey Mikhailovich Matveev is a Candidate of Medical Sciences, Belarusian State Medical University.
