Simulation Center

Simulation-based education is one of the fundamental components of modern medical training. At the Simulation Center of Samarkand State Medical University, students develop essential clinical competencies before entering real clinical practice by performing a wide range of medical procedures and managing complex clinical scenarios using specialized trainers, high-fidelity simulators, anatomical models, and advanced medical manikins.

The Simulation Center is housed in a dedicated four-story building located on the University campus and fully complies with international standards for medical education. The facility includes a 25-seat computer laboratory, briefing and debriefing rooms, independent learning areas, and 20 specialized simulation laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art medical simulators, manikins, modern medical equipment, and advanced computer technologies.

The simulation laboratories cover a broad spectrum of medical disciplines, including neonatology and pediatrics, internal medicine and electrocardiography (ECG), surgery and operating room practice, wound management, endoscopy, anesthesiology and critical care, obstetrics and gynecology, and many other clinical specialties. This educational approach enables students to analyze and correct mistakes within a safe simulation environment, accurately assess clinical situations, and progressively develop practical competencies without posing any risk to patients.

The Center also features a dedicated VETLAB (Veterinary Laboratory) equipped with modern operating rooms, laparoscopic systems, and virtual reality-based surgical simulation technologies. The laboratory provides students with opportunities to observe and participate in educational surgical procedures performed on animal models as part of practical surgical training. High-definition live video transmission allows students to monitor surgical procedures in real time, significantly enhancing the quality of clinical education.

The Simulation Center is staffed by highly qualified professors and instructors with extensive academic and clinical experience. The educational process is organized in accordance with contemporary international standards, providing students with a comprehensive, practice-oriented learning environment that prepares them for the challenges of modern healthcare.
