International Cooperation Relations
In order to further expand and strengthen international relations, actively exchange knowledge and skills with foreign higher education institutions, restore and strengthen contacts between academic staff of partner foreign universities within the framework of academic mobility, as well as invite renowned foreign scientists to the department to deliver lectures, conduct master classes, and organize scientific research activities, the staff of the Department of Epidemiology of Samarkand State Medical University carried out academic mobility activities with foreign colleagues in 2025.


Information on Academic Mobility Conducted by the Staff of the Department of Epidemiology of Samarkand State Medical University with Foreign Colleagues in 2025 Russian Federation — Smolensk State Medical University.
The Belarusian State Medical University and the Department of Epidemiology of Samarkand State Medical University held another joint meeting of the Student Scientific Society on the topic: “Aerosol Infections: The Epidemiological Situation in the World, the Republic of Belarus, and the Republic of Uzbekistan.”
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine of BSMU, Andrei Ginduk; the Head of the Department of Epidemiology of BSMU, Irina Valchuk; and the Head of the Department of Epidemiology of SamSMU, Lola Makhmudova. They delivered welcoming speeches and wished the students success in their scientific activities.
As part of the meeting, an intellectual competition was held between students of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine of Samarkand State Medical University and the Belarusian State Medical University.
According to the results of the intellectual competition:
- 1st place — student of group 508, Melimurodova Ma’suma;
- 2nd place — student of group 529, Giyosova Rayhona;
- 3rd place — student of the Belarusian State Medical University, Shvab Anna Pavlovna.
In addition, an interactive quiz on the topic “Infections Transmitted by the Aerosol Route” was conducted during the meeting. The engagingly organized quiz allowed students not only to test their knowledge but also to discuss important epidemiological aspects.
Seminar sessions were conducted jointly with the Belarusian State Medical University.
