Today, the new 2026/2027 academic year began in all higher educational institutions of our country for admitted first-year students. Likewise, the new academic year kicked off in a festive mood at Samarkand State Medical University. Early in the morning, a ceremonial event was held in the main building of the university. It was attended by the university administration, faculty members, and students.

  Speaking at the event, the Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Professor Jasur Rizayev, congratulated all students on the 35th anniversary of our independence and the new academic year, wishing them success in their future studies.

  Furthermore, the first-year students closely familiarized themselves with the university's educational and laboratory classrooms and the conditions created therein. The freshmen also visited the university's history museum, where they learned about the establishment, development, and fascinating history of the institution.
