On September 4 of this year, the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Otabek Sunnatovich Imamov, and the Director General of the National Anti-Doping Agency, Abdushukur Abdudjamilevich Sadikov, visited the multidisciplinary clinic of the university.

  The guests first closely familiarized themselves with the activities of the Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Neurosurgery and Neurorehabilitation under Samarkand State Medical University, as well as the newly established 3D Modeling and Artificial Intelligence Scientific Research and Production Laboratory at the center.

  SamSMU Rector, Professor Jasur Rizaev, and the director of the center, Mansur Aliev, provided detailed information on the high-tech medical services rendered to the population at the institution, as well as the advanced methods applied in the treatment and neurorehabilitation processes.

  Furthermore, the guests reviewed the construction and landscaping work carried out on the clinic's premises, the conditions created in the surgical building, its material and technical base, and the high-tech surgical operations performed by the clinic's specialists and the university's faculty members.

  During the visit, they also inspected the recently launched scientific research laboratory of the Scientific and Practical Center of Immunology, Allergology, and Human Genomics under the university, which is equipped with the most modern, state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. The guests were shown the rooms for molecular biology, genomics, mitochondrial biology, cell cultivation, PCR, genomic sequencing, DNA extraction, histochemistry and immunohistochemistry, biochemical, and microbiological research, and were provided with the relevant information.

  The First Deputy Minister of Health highly praised the large-scale practical work carried out in the clinic in collaboration with the SamSMU administration, especially the focus on the integration of science and practice. In his speech, he emphasized that these achievements are a clear result of the special attention paid by the President and the government to the development of medicine and higher education in our country, as well as the extensive opportunities being created for young scientists and doctors.
