New Student Dormitory Commissioned at Samarkand State Medical University
As the new academic year approaches, higher education institutions across the country are continuing systematic efforts to create modern and comfortable conditions for students. The “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy identifies strengthening the material and technical infrastructure of higher education institutions, as well as constructing modern academic buildings and student dormitories, among its key priorities.
As a practical result of these reforms, opening ceremonies for new academic and residential facilities were held today at several higher education institutions under the leadership of Kongratbay Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
As part of these developments, a new 500-bed student dormitory was officially commissioned at Samarkand State Medical University.
Representatives of the sector, the university administration and staff, faculty members, and young people took part in the opening ceremony of the modern residential complex.
During the ceremony, speakers highlighted the ongoing reforms in the higher education system, the expanding opportunities being created for young people, and the modern facilities and living conditions provided in the new student dormitory for future medical professionals.
