International Scientific and Practical Conference “Medical Rehabilitation: Achievements and Prospects” Held at Samarkand State Medical University

  On 5–6 June, Samarkand State Medical University hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Medical Rehabilitation: Achievements and Prospects.”

  The conference brought together leading experts from Uzbekistan, as well as specialists from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

  The opening ceremony featured welcoming remarks by Professor Jasur Rizaev, Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, and Sukhrob Zayniyev, Head of the Samarkand Regional Health Department. In their addresses, they emphasized the conference's important role in advancing medical rehabilitation and sports medicine, introducing international best practices, and strengthening global scientific cooperation.

  The conference program included presentations and discussions on a wide range of topical issues, including:

  • medical rehabilitation of patients with polytrauma;
  • rehabilitation after stroke;
  • the application of TECAR therapy in medical and sports rehabilitation;
  • personalized rehabilitation using robotic technologies;
  • and other current developments in rehabilitation medicine.

  A special Young Scientists Section was also organized as part of the conference, where students from various medical universities presented their research projects in rehabilitation and sports medicine, followed by active scientific discussions.

  At the conclusion of the conference, participants developed a number of important recommendations aimed at expanding international cooperation, promoting the implementation of advanced scientific achievements, and integrating innovative technologies into clinical practice. The conference served as an effective platform for professional exchange, strengthening scientific collaboration, and improving the quality of rehabilitation and sports medicine services.
