On April 13–14, the “Central Asia – European Union Universities Congress” was held in the city of Samarkand. This international event served as an important platform for elevating cooperation in the fields of education, science, and innovation between the European Union and Central Asian countries to a new level.

    Within this major scientific platform, Samarkand State Medical University actively participated, demonstrating its role as a leading institution in developing international academic cooperation, expanding joint educational programs, and promoting initiatives in modern scientific fields.

    During the congress, the following key issues were discussed:

    — establishing sustainable academic platforms between universities;
    — expanding scientific research and innovative projects;
    — developing academic mobility;
    — improving the quality of education based on international standards.

    As part of the congress, memorandums of cooperation were signed between Samarkand State Medical University and the Pomeranian University in Słupsk, as well as with the Medical University of Bialystok.

    In addition, Polish guests visited Samarkand State Medical University, where they became closely acquainted with the conditions created at the university, its educational system, and its teaching and laboratory facilities.

    The cooperation between Samarkand State Medical University and Polish universities plays a significant role in strengthening its international reputation, widely implementing advanced foreign experience into educational and scientific processes, and creating new opportunities for students and specialists. These initiatives will contribute to training competitive professionals in the field of medicine, deepening the integration of science and education, and securing a достойное position in the global educational landscape.
