From March 5 to 7 of the current year, the Third Uzbekistan–Hungary Rectors’ Forum titled “Higher Education in the Digital Era: Artificial Intelligence, Innovative Models, and Globally Competitive Universities” is being held.
Within the framework of the forum, parallel sessions were organized focusing on the development of modern higher education, expansion of scientific cooperation, and support for innovation. Rectors of leading universities from Uzbekistan and Hungary discussed priority areas of cooperation, including engineering, information technology, agriculture, water management, medicine, and other fields. Key topics included the establishment of joint educational programs, enhancement of faculty and student exchange, and the creation of joint research centers. Bilateral cooperation memorandums were also signed.
In particular, a cooperation agreement was signed with the participation of the Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Professor Jasur Rizayev, and the President of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference, Rector of Semmelweis University, Béla Merkely.
Following the forum, the President of the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference and Rector of Semmelweis University, Béla Merkely, visited Samarkand State Medical University. During the visit, the distinguished guest ознакомился (reviewed) the university’s facilities, educational system, and conditions, and gave high praise to its current activities and institutional development.
