On February 16 of the current year, Mr. Akira Sakai, Director of the Japan International Medical Education Foundation (JIMEF), paid an official visit to Samarkand State Medical University.

  During the visit, a meeting was organized with the university leadership, where issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.

  In particular, discussions were held regarding the organization of professional development training programs and participation in an academic conference in Japan for the staff of Samarkand State Medical University. The program, organized by JIMEF, is scheduled to take place from August 21 to September 18.

  This program provides an opportunity for advanced training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at the University of Tsukuba Hospital.
