To date, Samarkand State Medical University has been actively cooperating with a number of leading higher and medical education institutions of the People’s Republic of China. In particular, bilateral cooperation has been established with Xinjiang Medical University, within the framework of which joint scientific and practical projects, academic exchange programs, and collaborative educational initiatives are being successfully implemented.
On December 23 of this year, Samarkand State Medical University was visited by a delegation from Xinjiang Medical University headed by its Rector, Haji Akber Aisa.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held with the Rector of SamSMU, Jasur Rizayev. During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for further strengthening cooperation, ensuring academic mobility of students and faculty members, organizing advanced training programs—including professional development of SamSMU staff at the clinics of Xinjiang Medical University—as well as joint efforts in introducing traditional Chinese medicine practices.
Following the meeting, a roadmap for future activities was developed and a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed.
Additionally, within the framework of the visit, the guests became acquainted with the activities of the “Language Academy” Center established at Samarkand State Medical University and were briefed on its operations.
