On December 19–20 of the current year, an international scientific and practical congress dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan State Institute for Advanced Training of Physicians was held.

  The congress was organized to discuss the latest scientific and practical achievements in medical science, enhance physicians’ professional knowledge and skills, and contribute to the scientific development of young doctors in particular. Alongside representatives of Azerbaijan’s healthcare sector, specialists from many other countries also took part in the event.

  Among the speakers was Eldor Sayfullaevich Tangirov, Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Activities of Samarkand State Medical University. In his address, he emphasized the priority areas of rapidly developing modern medicine and highlighted the promising prospects for bilateral cooperation between Samarkand State Medical University and the Azerbaijan State Institute for Advanced Training of Physicians, wishing success to the work of the congress.

  Within the framework of the congress, two plenary sessions and five scientific panel discussions were organized, focusing on pressing issues across various fields of medicine. Experts from Azerbaijan, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Russia, Georgia, Iran, Denmark, Germany, and other countries participated with scientific presentations, engaging in comprehensive discussions on the latest achievements and modern approaches in medical science.
