On October 22 of this year, Samarkand State Medical University was visited by a delegation from Zhejiang University Medical School (PRC).

    The delegation, headed by the Vice-president of the 4th clinic of the Zhejiang University Medical School, Tang Zhe, was received by the rector of SamSMU, Professor Jasur Rizaev.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed the establishment of large-scale cooperation in the field of oncology, the development of joint scientific and practical projects, as well as the organization of short- and long-term professional development programs for students and staff.

    Following the negotiations, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed.

    During the visit, Chinese specialists conducted high-tech surgical demonstrations, including a master class on combined laparoscopic resection and radioablation of the liver at the Department of Oncology of Samarkand State Medical University.
