On October 17-18, 2025, Samarkand State Medical University hosted the international scientific and practical conference "Transformation of the system of continuing professional education, training and retraining of managerial personnel in the healthcare system of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

    The conference was attended by representatives of our republic, as well as Russia, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

    The conference was organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center for the Development of Professional Qualifications of Medical Workers, Samarkand State Medical University, Westminster International University and the German Cooperation Organization.

    Speaking at the opening, Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Asilbek Khudayarov stressed the importance of holding this conference for the further development of the country's healthcare system.

    During the meetings, topical issues and the latest achievements in the field of medicine and medical education were discussed, views were exchanged on the training and retraining of medical personnel, and international experience in this field was reviewed.

    After the plenary session, the conference continued in five sections, where presentations were made on such topical areas as "Formation of a new generation of managers", "The role of continuing education and medical associations in the transformation of the healthcare system", "Artificial intelligence and big data analysis", "Modern competencies of healthcare managers". Discussions and practical demonstrations were also held during the conference.

    The proposals and recommendations voiced by the participants are important for improving the system of personnel training in healthcare and its development in accordance with international standards.
