In order to ensure the fulfillment of the priorities outlined at the video conference of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on healthcare reforms on May 7, Samarkand State Medical University is also implementing large-scale measures.
In particular, a special working group of university staff is conducting extensive work in the regions aimed at improving public health and improving the quality of medical services.
On May 17, a working group of Samarkand State Medical University visited Ishtikhan district and examined the level of medical care at medical centers. At the same time, practical assistance was provided in conducting the census and identifying risk groups for 281,970 residents living in 62 mahallas of the district.
Members of the university's working group also visited residents' homes, conducted medical examinations and provided necessary consultations. In general education schools, “Health lessons” were held with students, where issues of a healthy lifestyle and improving medical culture were explained. The work of the working group in the districts of the region continues.
