On May 16-17, Samarkand State Medical University hosted the 79th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Achievements of Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy", dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the University. The international scientific and practical conference was attended by students and young researchers from over 40 higher medical educational institutions and research centers in China, Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and our republic.
  At the opening ceremony of the conference, held at the Samarkand Youth Center, the rector of SamSMU, Professor Jasur Rizaev, delivered an introductory speech and wished good luck to all participants. He noted the importance of the international forum in the further development of scientific and practical medicine in our republic and the expansion of the exchange of experience in the international arena. The opening ceremony continued with festive melodies and bright performances by representatives of talented youth.
  After the opening, the conference continued its work in 24 breakout sessions in which more than 660 presentations by students and young researchers were heard.
  A meeting of the "Club of Young Scientists" was also held during the conference, where innovative ideas and startup projects in medicine were discussed.
  At the end of the conference, the participants received diplomas, certificates and memorable gifts.
  Also, within the framework of the Academician international conference, the head of the Department of General and Bioorganic Chemistry of the I.P.Pavlov First St.

  Petersburg State Medical University, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Konstantin Nikolaevich Semenov and Rector of Nakhichevan State University Isaev Elbrus were awarded the title “Honorary Professor of Samarkand State Medical University".
  The traditional 79th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Achievements of Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy", held at Samarkand State Medical University, aimed at attracting students and young scientists to research work, effective use of their potential and scientific achievements, further improvement of the quality of teaching fundamental and clinical sciences and the development of the medical field in our country will undoubtedly also contribute to the development of international cooperation between higher educational institutions of the republic and abroad.
