On April 25, Samarkand State University hosted a round table on the topic “Uzbekistan and Italy: new horizons of cooperation.” The event was attended by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Agriculture, embassies and more than 20 leading universities of the two countries. The focus was on discussing issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of higher professional education, as well as promising projects in the future.
During the event, memorandums of cooperation were signed by a number of higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan and Italy. In particular, a memorandum of cooperation was signed by Jasur Rizaev, Rector of Samarkand State Medical University, and Filippo Giorgia, Vice-Rector for International Relations at the University of Pisa. The document opens up wide opportunities for comprehensive cooperation between the two partner universities.
