As part of the visit of a delegation led by the rector of Samarkand State Medical University, Professor Jasur Rizaev, to South Korea, a visit was made to the National Cancer Center.
During the visit, they were thoroughly familiarized with the high-tech conditions, scientific and practical activities of the Center. A meeting was also held here, during which issues of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between Samarkand State Medical University and the National Cancer Center, attracting advanced technologies and equipment for cancer control, treatment and diagnosis, and implementing joint projects to develop the field were discussed.

It is located in Goyang City and aims to reduce the spread of cancer by supporting cancer treatment, research, education, and national health policy. The center provides comprehensive cancer treatment services, as well as proton beam therapy, modern diagnostic equipment, and specialized services for foreign patients.
The Center has 11 specialized departments, including departments for cancer of the stomach, liver, lungs, uterus, colon, breast and thyroid gland.
