On November 22, the International Congress on the topic of "Modern Approaches to the Prevention and Treatment of Dental Diseases" was held at the Minyoun Hotel of the Eternal City tourist complex in Samarkand. More than 300 representatives from our republic and more than ten countries, including the USA, Russia, France, Bulgaria, Egypt, Azerbaijan and others, took part in the congress, organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association of Dentists and the Samarkand State Medical University.

  Speaking at the opening of the congress, the rector of the Samarkand State Medical University, professor Jasur Rizayev emphasized that the ongoing congress is a platform for exchanging views on the most pressing issues of modern dentistry, as well as exchanging experience in introducing the latest world achievements in dentistry into practical healthcare.

  As part of the congress, more than twenty master classes were organized using the most modern dental equipment. Guests and participants also made presentations and scientific discussions were held in the areas of “Prevention of somatic diseases as dental prophylaxis”, “Synergy of digital solutions and clinical skills in periodontology”, “Subperiosteal implants – past, present and future”, “The role of microscopes in modern dentistry” and other relevant areas of dentistry.
