Ambassador of the Republic of India to Uzbekistan visited Samara State Medical University

  On November 18, a delegation headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Uzbekistan Ms. Smita Pant visited Samarkand State Medical University. The guests were received by the rector of university, professor Jasur Rizaev. As part of the visit, a meeting was organized at which the parties noted the high level of cooperation between our countries, as well as SamSMU and a number of Indian educational institutions.

  The meeting included an exchange of opinions, a discussion of proposals and initiatives for organizing the educational process for Indian students and the conditions created for them at the university.

  Ms. Smita Pant also met and held an open dialogue with Indian students studying at SamSMU. At the meeting, the opinions and requests of the students were heard, and detailed answers were given to their questions.

  It should be noted that currently about four thousand foreign students are studying at the Samarkand State Medical University, including more than 2,300 Indian students. The faculty of international education of SamSMU has created all the conditions for Indian students to obtain higher professional education according to all international standards, which is important for their future development as highly qualified medical personnel.
