On May 11-12, 2023, the V International Interdisciplinary Scientific and Practical Conference "Public Interest and State Obligations" was held in Samarkand, organized by the Center for Public Legal Research in cooperation with the Representative Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Germany) in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Business Ombudsman of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Law University, Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and biotechnology and Samarkand State Medical University.
The international forum on May 11 began with the laying of wreaths at the foot of the monument to the great statesman and commander Amir Timur. Further, in the tomb of Amir Timur "Guri-Amir," the presentation of the popular science publication "The Great Ruler and Jade Block (two historical German publications about Amir Timur)," published with the assistance of the Representative Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, took place. Speaking at the presentation of the book, Member of the Senate Oliy Majlis, Editor-in-Chief of the Zarafshon newspaper Farmon Toshev, Business Ombudsman of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilmurod Kasimov, Director of the Center for Public Legal Studies, Associate Professor of TSU Azamat Egamberdiev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Central Asia Ronnie Dirk Heine, head of the Department of the Agency for Intellectual Property Management of the Ministry of Justice Yesemurat Kanyazov and others noted the importance of preserving cultural heritage for our time and its important role in the development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federal Republic of Germany.
On the same day, the Samarkand Regional Theater of Musical Drama hosted personal exhibitions of the Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation Davron Safoev and Bakhrom Safoev, a panel discussion "Uzbekistan-Germany Relations: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow," as well as the premiere of the play "Squire" ("Kurolbardor") dedicated to memorable events from the life of Sahibkiran Amir Timura. The thoughtfulness of the plot and the skill of performing roles was warmly received by grateful viewers
On May 12, the V International Interdisciplinary Scientific and Practical Conference "Public Interest and State Obligations" was held in the conference hall of the Mövenpick Samarkand Hotel. During the reports of German and Uzbek experts, the participants discussed topical issues of the essence and importance of constitutional and administrative reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, exchanged views on relevant discussion issues of constitutional, administrative law, health care development, medical education, medical law and public administration. Of particular interest among the participants was the speech of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of SSMU Nargiza Yarmukhamedova "Concept for the Development of Continuing Medical Education in the Republic of Uzbekistan."
Following the conference, a final resolution was adopted with recommendations for further improvement of current legislation and the development of international cooperation on expert support for reforms carried out in the country.
