Samarkand State Medical University students are winners of the Republican Olympiad "Integration of Social Sciences and Humanities in Medical Universities

The Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute has hosted "Integration of Social-Humanitarian Sciences in Medical Institute" republican online Olympiad among medical and pharmaceutical universities. Over 30 students from all medical universities of the country as well as students from Samarkand State Medical University participated in the Olympiad.

During the solemn opening ceremony Addressing the participants, Mr. Kahramon Khaitov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of TPMI, Mr. Kahramon Shomurodov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations of TSDI, Head of Humanitarian Sciences Department, Shokhista Shoimova and others wished successful contests and victories to all participants of the students competitions.

The National Student Olympiad was held in 4 areas of modern social-humanitarian knowledge - "The Modern History of Uzbekistan", "Philosophy", "Pedagogy" and "Psychology". The participants in the Olympiad competed in two stages: solving test assignments and conducting a blitz survey. At the Student Olympiad the representatives of SamSMU showed brilliant results in the struggle for the winning places.

According to the results of the Republican Student Olympiad, by the decision of the Organizing Committee of the competition, the SamSMU students were awarded the following prizes:

on subject "Modern History of Uzbekistan" - II place to the 1st year student of Medical Faculty Tokhirjon Gofurov (supervisor - senior teacher of Humanitarian and Social Sciences Sh.F. Mazhidov);

on subject "Philosophy" - II place to the third-year student of the Faculty of Medical Pedagogy Madinabonu Shamsiddinova (supervisor - Head of the Chair of Humanities and Social Sciences PhD A.N.Mahmudova);

on subject "Pedagogy" - III place to the student of 3 year of medical pedagogy faculty Farkhunda Akhmadova (supervisor - teacher of pedagogy and psychology F.M.Norbutayev).

The organizers expressed gratitude to the winners and their mentors for participation, and awarded the diplomas.
