Over the past three years, the following important spiritual, educational and moral work has been carried out at the Department of Otolaryngology No. 1 of the Faculty of Dentistry of the Samarkand State Medical University.
The work carried out at the department to educate nationally minded youth with high spirituality, independent thinking and a strong life position has been organized at a high level over the past academic years.
Throughout the academic year, all of our future doctors and students studying in the department gained knowledge and familiarized themselves with the works and speeches of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, the resolutions, content, and essence of laws adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers, and the materials of sessions of the Oliy Majlis.
Throughout the academic year, the department organized events within the framework of five important initiatives put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on March 19, 2019, during a videoconference meeting. These initiatives focused on increasing attention to youth, broadly engaging the younger generation in culture, art, physical education, and sports, developing skills in the proper use of information technology, promoting reading among young people, and ensuring women's employment.
During the academic year, the university organized a meeting called “The Khokim and Youth,” which was attended by the Khokim of the Narpaysky District and about 150 students and graduates of the Narpaysky District.
Last academic year, 19 of them graduated from the university, and almost all were assigned to the district medical association. Of these, 14 were undergraduate students, three were clinical residents, and three were master's students.
During the meeting, the Khokim of the Narpaysky District first congratulated the graduates on their new responsibilities, emphasizing that they have a very responsible profession, that they are entrusted with the important task of protecting public health, and that they must all justify this trust.
As part of the “Sharing Education” project, several visits were organized to School No. 31, located in the Mirishkor District Citizens’ Community (DCC) of the Samarkand District, and School No. 18, located in the Ўрта Оҳалик District Citizens’ Community (DCC) of the district, which are attached to the Otorhinolaryngology Department No. 1.
As part of the collaboration between the faculty of the Abu Ali ibn Sino Technical School of Public Health at the Samarkand State Medical University and the faculty of the Otolaryngology Department No. 1 of the Samarkand State Medical University, visits to the technical school and lectures were organized.
