Based on the university's development concept, the internationalization goals of Samarkand State Medical University are aimed at strengthening its position in the global educational space. The main priorities of internationalization include increasing the number of international students, developing joint projects with foreign higher education institutions and research centers, increasing the number of visiting scholars and lecturers, and expanding double-degree programs with partner universities abroad.

  Samarkand State Medical University builds equal partnership relations in education and science with more than 60 foreign universities, research centers, and international organizations. The development of collaborative dialogue with universities across Europe, Asia, North America, and the CIS is based on joint programs and academic mobility.

  The international cooperation tasks of the Department of Propaedeutics of Children's Diseases align with the university's development strategy and focus on reinforcing its position in the international educational space. Every year, the number of visiting highly qualified foreign specialists, faculty members, students, and researchers increases. They visit the department to establish professional ties, teach, undergo advanced training, and participate in scientific conferences.

  Within the framework of academic mobility, the department regularly organizes lectures and webinars using the ZOOM online platform in collaboration with prestigious medical universities across CIS countries. Between 2020 and 2026, several notable webinars sparked great interest among students. These included lectures by:

  Prof. M.K. Yermakova — Head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Children's Diseases and Polyclinic Pediatrics at Izhevsk State Medical Academy (Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation);

  Prof. I.N. Zakharova — Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Member of the Executive Committee of the Union of Pediatricians of Russia, Chief Independent Pediatrician of the Central Federal District, and Head of the Department of Pediatrics at the Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education;

  Prof. S.V. Plasovskaya-Akhmetova — Professor at the School of Public Health and Biomedicine of Karaganda Medical University, and Director of the Association of Nutritionists and Dietitians of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

  Assoc. Prof. A.M. Abdusalomov, Ph.D. — Associate Professor at the Medical Institute of Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (Russia).

  At the same time, department members (D.T. Rabbimova, Sh.M. Uralov, H.N. Shadiyeva) maintain close active ties with Izhevsk State Medical Academy (Russian Federation). The Department of Propaedeutics of Children's Diseases maintains partnerships with over 12 higher educational institutions and research centers in near and far foreign countries. Furthermore, department members actively participate in various national scientific and practical conferences across the country.
