Samarkand State Medical University's international goals are based on its development concept, which aims to strengthen its position in the international educational space. The main benefits of internationalization include an increase in the number of international students, the development of joint projects with foreign higher education institutions and research centers, an increase in the number of researchers and faculty working at foreign educational institutions, and an expansion of joint programs that allow for the awarding of double degrees.

  Samarkand State Medical University collaborates with more than 60 state and international organizations, universities, and research centers abroad, actively participating in international cooperation in education and science. The university develops partnerships based on the principles of equality and mutual respect.

  As part of the academic mobility program established by the memorandum of cooperation between Samarkand State Medical University and the International Turkish Faculty of the University of Medical Sciences of Turkey, established at the Abu Ali Ibn Sina Bukhara State Medical Institute, Professor Halit Chinarka of the International Turkish Faculty of the University of Medical Sciences was invited to the institute.

  The Department of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics staff regularly organizes seminars and roundtables with leading specialists from Russia, Turkey, and Kazakhstan.

  On May 12, 2023, a seminar on "Modern Trends in the Treatment of Arterial Hypertension: Focus on Improving Prognosis. Potential of the Fixed-Dose Combination of Amlodipine and Telmisartan" was held for students, clinical residents, residents of the master's degree programs in the medical faculties of Samara State Medical University, and physicians.

  The seminar's keynote speaker was Sergei Rudzherovich Gilyarevsky, MD, Professor in the B.E. Votchal Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapy at the Russian Medical Academy of Continuous Professional Education, Moscow.

  On May 24, 2023, a webinar on "Cardiovascular Risk Management in Patients with Hypertension: Time to Act Earlier" was held for students, clinical residents, residents of the master's degree programs in the medical faculties of Samara State Medical University, and physicians.

  The main speaker of the webinar was Yuri Aleksandrovich Karpov, MD, Professor, and Head of the Angiology Department at the National Medical Research Center of Cardiology of the Russian Ministry of Health.

  The staff of the Department of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics closely collaborates with the Department of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics at the Izhevsk Medical Academy.

  In collaboration with Natalia Aleksandrovna Khokhlacheva, Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics at the Izhevsk Medical Academy, a textbook, "Nursing," is being prepared for publication. It is intended for students of medical technical schools, medical lyceums, and medical universities.

  As part of her academic mobility program, the Head of the Department, Associate Professor S.Kh. Yarmukhamedova, delivered a series of lectures and conducted practical classes at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in Kaliningrad. A master class on cardiac echocardiography was also held at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University Simulation Center.

  Also, as part of academic mobility, the head of the department, Assoc. Prof. S.Kh. Yarmukhamedova, conducted lectures and practical classes at the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yasawi.

  On May 12, 2025, together with the staff of the SKMA Department of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics, headed by Professor Elmira Kuanyshevna Bekmurzaeva, an international online conference, "Healthy Heart - 2025," was held to commemorate World Hypertension Day. The conference topic was "Chest Pain: From Symptom to Diagnosis. Modern Aspects of Differential Diagnosis."

  As part of an academic mobility program, Professor Elmira Kuanishevna Bekmurzaeva, Head of the Department of Propedeutics of Internal Diseases at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, conducted lectures and practical classes at the Department of Propedeutics of Internal Diseases from December 4 to December 17, 2025, in accordance with the approved thematic plan.

  In January 2026, as part of an academic mobility program, a group of students majoring in General Medicine at the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy (Republic of Kazakhstan) underwent training at the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases.

  Under the guidance of the department's faculty, the students mastered skills in independently examining patients, taking medical histories and recording complaints, performing physical examinations, and assessing the condition of the cardiovascular, respiratory, and other body systems.

  During practical sessions, students honed their skills in recording and interpreting electrocardiograms (ECGs), applied methods for measuring blood pressure and pulse, performed auscultation of the heart and lungs as well as percussion and palpation of internal organs, and learned to analyze the results of laboratory and instrumental tests.

  The classes were held at the department’s clinical site, enabling students to consolidate their theoretical knowledge in a real-world clinical setting, develop clinical reasoning skills, and gain valuable practical experience in interacting with patients. 

  As part of an academic mobility program between the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University and Samarkand State Medical University, Associate Professor S.Kh. Yarmukhamedova (Head of the Department of Propedeutics of Internal Diseases), Senior Lecturer F.Yu. Nazarov (PhD), and Assistant N.A. Vafoyeva conducted a series of lectures, practical sessions, and master classes at the Department of Propedeutics of Internal Diseases of the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University from April 27 to May 9, 2026.

  The academic mobility program fosters cooperation between Samarkand State Medical University and the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, facilitates the exchange of experience, and enhances the quality of training for future physicians. 

  The staff of the Department of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics continues to actively develop international cooperation, expanding the horizons of scientific and educational ties, organizing international events, exchanging experiences, and collaborating with leading international institutions and medical specialists.
