On April 10, a delegation led by Tim Keane, Chancellor of Webster University (USA), visited Samarkand State Medical University. The guests were met by the rector of the university, Zhasur Rizaev, and a bilateral meeting was organized.

  During the meeting, issues of cooperation between Samarkand State Medical University and Webster University, in particular, joint educational programs, were discussed. Long-term plans and a roadmap have been identified.

  For reference: Samarkand State Medical University has been cooperating with Webster University (USA) for several years. In particular, a trilateral memorandum of cooperation was signed on the training of qualified specialists in the fields of Medical Biology and Higher Nursing based on American standards.

  Since the 2024/2025 academic year, the joint educational program "Nursing" has been implemented in the 3+1 format, which provides SamSMU students with the opportunity to study and improve their qualifications at a prestigious university in the USA.
