In the 2020 Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Oliy Majlis, it was noted that mass deworming among children aged 2 to 10 years should be conducted twice a year. Despite these measures, the prevalence of parasitic infections, especially intestinal parasitoses among children, remains a pressing issue.
To discuss measures to reduce the incidence of parasitic diseases among the population, an international scientific and practical conference on "Pressing Issues of Parasitic and Infectious Diseases" was organized on March 17.
The conference, held on the initiative of the L.M. Isaev Institute of Microbiology, Virology, Infectious, and Parasitic Diseases under Samarkand State Medical University, featured not only specialists from our Republic but also leading experts from the Russian Federation and Belarus, who presented their reports.
The conference addressed pressing issues in the diagnosis and treatment of parasitic and infectious diseases, the implementation of modern high-tech equipment in the diagnostic and treatment process, as well as new methods for diagnosing these diseases..
