"Reading Week" in SamSMU

One of the five important initiatives put forward by the head of our state is to increase the spirituality of young people and instill a culture of reading. In Samarkand State Medical University, regular large-scale work is carried out in this direction.

On April 7, at the initiative of the Faculty of Pediatrics, as part of the "Book Reading Week," a round table was held with the participation of students of SamSMU. The event was attended by deputy deans for work with youth of the faculties of pediatrics, dentistry, the faculty of international education, employees of the departments of languages, pedagogy-psychology and social and humanitarian sciences and 2nd year students.

During the round table, the students discussed the novels "Past Days" by Abdullah Kadiri and "Starry Nights" by Pirimkul Kadyrov. At the end of the discussion, it was emphasized that these works are important in terms of their time, and have not lost their relevance and significance to date.
