A regular Academic Council was held on April 13 at Samarkand State Medical University.
In his opening speech to Council members Rector Jasur Rizaev congratulated those present on gaining the status of the University and noted that it opens entirely new opportunities, but at the same time it imposes obligations and responsibilities on the staff and students of the university.
Rector's adviser on stabilizing social and spiritual climate among students Elyorbek Aripov, Dean of Medical Pedagogy, HPS and Traditional Medicine PhD Feruz Daminov, Head of Department of Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Education Nargiza Muradova, Head of Printing House Javohir Hasanov were introduced to the Council members.
At the Academic Council solemn presentation of diplomas to winners of competitions for personal scholarships for the academic year 2021-2022 took place: Fariza Mukhammedova - the owner of "Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan", the student of 6 course of pediatric faculty; Sadokat Valieva - the owner of "Scholarship of Islam Karimov", the student of 6 course of pediatric faculty; Davlatshoh Jalolov - the owner of "Scholarship of Ibn Sino (Avicenna)" and Shamsiev Ozod - the owner of "Scholarship of Ibn Sino", the student of 6 course of medical faculty. The diplomas were also awarded to Timur Rustamov - the winner of the contest "The Best Student of the CIS - 2022", the 3rd year student of the Faculty of Medical Pedagogy, Nursing and Traditional Medicine , as well as the winners of international scientific contest "The best innovator in science of CIS - 2022" held within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the participants of the competition for state individual scholarships.
The Council also considered other issues according to the meeting's agenda.
