International Cooperation Relations

  The objectives of the international activities of Samarkand State Medical University are based on the university’s development concept, aimed at strengthening its position in the global sphere of international education. The main advantages of internationalization include increasing the number of foreign students, developing joint projects with foreign higher education institutions and research centers, expanding the number of researchers and lecturers teaching abroad, increasing the number of joint programs with foreign universities and educational institutions that provide the opportunity for double-degree diplomas.

  Samarkand State Medical University maintains relations with more than 60 state and international organizations, foreign universities, and research centers, engaging in international cooperation in the fields of education and science based on the principle of equality. The development of cooperative dialogues with universities in Europe, Asia, North America, and the CIS is founded on joint programs and academic mobility.

  Each year, the number of highly qualified specialists, lecturers, students, and researchers from abroad visiting SamSMU for cooperation, study, professional development, and participation in scientific conferences continues to grow.

  SamSMU is ready to establish contacts with educational and research centers, universities, and public organizations around the world, and the university’s doors are open to all applicants, students, researchers, and lecturers from abroad.

  Geography of cooperation: the department maintains partnerships and cooperative dialogues with more than five higher education institutions and research centers in near and far abroad countries:

  Grant project. A grant project is being implemented between the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Pediatrics at SamSMU, and Shandong University (China).

  Project title: Early detection of orthopedic (joint) diseases and drug selection based on multimodal large models.

  Academic mobility programs.
  In accordance with the established partnership between Samarkand State Medical University and the Rheumatology Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the head of the center, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor G.A. Togizbaev, conducted lectures and practical classes at the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Pediatrics, for 2nd-year clinical residents in the specialty “Internal Medicine” and 3rd-year students of the Faculty of Pediatrics.

  The Head of the Department of Cardiology and Clinical Pharmacology of the Institute of Postgraduate Education of the State Testing Center under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan, Doctor of Medical Sciences A.R. Narzullaeva, together with Associate Professor of the department S.J. Kasimova, conducted lectures and practical classes for 3rd-year students of the Faculty of Pediatrics, 2nd-year students of the Faculty of General Medicine, and 2nd-year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
