International cooperation at Samarkand State Medical University is an important component of the University's Development Concept and is aimed at strengthening its position in the international educational and scientific community, improving the quality of education, and introducing advanced international experience into the educational and research processes.

  Within the framework of the University's internationalization policy, particular attention is paid to increasing the number of international students, developing joint educational and research projects with leading foreign universities and research centers, expanding academic mobility of academic staff, researchers and students, and establishing joint educational programs, including programs leading to double-degree qualifications.

  At present, Samarkand State Medical University is developing international partnerships in education, science and innovation with more than 60 countries and international organizations, foreign higher education institutions and research centers. International cooperation is based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, mutual benefit and academic partnership.

  Cooperation with universities in Europe, Asia, North America and the CIS countries includes joint educational programs and research projects, academic mobility, exchange of academic staff and students, international conferences, seminars, webinars, academic competitions and master classes.

  The number of international professors, lecturers, researchers and students visiting the University for study, professional development, academic exchange, establishment of scientific contacts and participation in scientific events is increasing every year. International partnerships provide additional opportunities for students, young researchers and academic staff to develop professionally, acquire modern research skills and integrate into the international scientific and educational community.

  International Cooperation of the Department

The Department of Pharmaceutical and Toxicological Chemistry actively participates in the University's internationalization initiatives and develops scientific and educational partnerships with foreign higher education institutions and research centers.

  Since the establishment of the Department, cooperation has been established with academic staff and specialists from a number of foreign universities, including:

• Ryazan State Medical University;
• S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University;
• Kazan National Research Technological University;
• Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology of Belgorod State National Research University;
• Avicenna Tajik State Medical University.

  Within the framework of these partnerships, academic mobility programs, scientific and educational webinars, online meetings, subject-based academic competitions, scientific and practical conferences, seminars, round-table discussions and master classes are organized with the participation of academic staff and students.

  The academic staff of the Department also cooperate with foreign colleagues in joint scientific activities, including the preparation of research publications, exchange of scientific information, discussion of research findings, introduction of modern analytical methods, and implementation of joint research projects.

  International scientific cooperation covers such areas as pharmaceutical and toxicological chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, organic synthesis, investigation of biologically active compounds, chemical and toxicological research, and modern biomedical technologies. These partnerships contribute to strengthening the scientific potential of the Department and expanding opportunities for conducting relevant and innovative research.

  Particular attention is given to academic mobility for students and young researchers.   The Department plans to further expand the geographical scope of its international cooperation, increase the number of joint research projects with foreign universities, participate more actively in international grant programs, develop academic mobility for academic staff and students, increase the number of joint publications in international scientific journals, and introduce advanced international experience into the educational and research processes.
