Morally and educational work of the department

  Caring for the younger generation and striving to nurture a healthy, well-rounded individual are among the distinctive features of the Uzbek national character. Therefore, spiritual and educational work is considered one of the most important areas of activity of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences. This work is carried out on a regular basis according to an approved plan, coordinated and organized by the responsible lecturer, T. Anvarov.

The faculty members of the department carry out the following activities among students:

  • familiarizing students with the works and speeches of President Sh. M. Mirziyoyev, as well as decrees and resolutions of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers; conducting spiritual and educational events aimed at nurturing a well-rounded generation, and developing the universal, national, and spiritual worldview of young people;
  • supporting the successful implementation and development of constructive reforms in the Republic;
  • fostering the philosophy of a healthy lifestyle among students;
  • raising students’ political and legal awareness;
  • providing timely information to students about social, political, and cultural events happening in the country and the world;
  • creating a healthy spiritual environment among students;
  • organizing students’ leisure activities in accordance with the focus and specialization of the institution, and setting up various clubs and circles.

Main areas of activity of the department:

  1. Organizational matters related to systematic coordination of spiritual and educational activities. On the days designated by the university, faculty members of the department perform supervisory duties in Student Dormitory No. 3.
  2. Enhancing personal spiritual development. Every Tuesday and Friday, a “Spiritual Hour” is conducted with students.
  3. Promoting the culture of religious tolerance. In connection with the International Day of Tolerance (November 16), special classes have been scheduled to promote interfaith and interdenominational tolerance and to prevent religious fanaticism among students.
  4. Developing political and legal knowledge and culture. At the weekly “Spiritual Hour” held on Thursdays, students are introduced to the published books of President Sh. M. Mirziyoyev, his speeches in newspapers, decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers, materials from Oliy Majlis sessions, and adopted laws and decrees. In addition to spiritual and moral education, attention is also given to raising environmental knowledge and culture.
  5. Building ideological immunity and resilience. To prevent the spread of religious fanaticism, extremist and terrorist ideologies, seminars and trainings are planned with students under the themes: “Religious extremism — the enemy of peace and progress” and “Enlightened Islam condemns fanaticism.”
  6. Celebrating national holidays, historical dates, and anniversaries of great ancestors. Topics and materials are prepared for “Spiritual Hours” aimed at promoting national values, traditions, and the rich heritage of our ancestors.
  7.  Enhancing the worldview and spiritual-moral level of the faculty. Systematic work is being carried out in the department to improve the worldview and moral standards of professors and teachers. In this regard, as the person responsible for spiritual activities, I conduct the “Spiritual Hour” every Tuesday and Friday, organized by the university’s Department of Spiritual Education.
