In the spring of 2026, faculty members of the Department of Ophthalmology at Samarkand State Medical University actively participated in a series of key events as part of international academic mobility and scientific collaboration. These initiatives serve to enhance the university's international prestige and integrate cutting-edge approaches into medical education and clinical practice.    As part of the academic mobility program, Associate Professor D.Z. Jalalova completed an internship based at Derzhavin Tambov State University (Russia) and the clinical facilities of the S.N. Fyodorov Eye Microsurgery Federal State Institution.

  In order to foster academic cooperation and knowledge exchange, Venera Ravilyevna Abdullina, Associate Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology at Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, paid a working visit to Samarkand on May 12–16, 2026. During her visit, Professor V.R. Abdullina delivered a series of lectures and conducted practical training sessions for the faculty and students of the Department of Ophthalmology at SamSMU. The sessions were organized in both in-person and remote formats.

  This visit served to further strengthen the friendly and professional ties between the two universities.From May 18 to May 25, 2026, Dilfuza Zukhriddinovna Jalalova, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology at Samarkand State Medical University, completed an international working visit to Nanjing, People's Republic of China.

  Associate Professor D.Z. Jalalova participated in the prestigious "Bright China Myopia Conference 2026" held in Nanjing. This event is one of the largest scientific conferences dedicated to the study and control of myopia in China. The conference focused on myopia prevention, modern control strategies, personalized approaches, and the integration of the latest scientific research findings into clinical practice.
