Caring for the youth and being committed to nurturing healthy, well-developed individuals is a defining characteristic of the national identity of the Uzbek people. Therefore, moral and educational activities constitute a primary focus of the Department of Organization of Pharmaceutical Work.

  These activities are conducted regularly within the department in accordance with an approved plan. The coordination and organization of this work is entrusted to the designated coordinator, M.G. Olitiboyeva.

  Professors and instructors of the department actively engage with students by:

• Familiarizing them with the writings and addresses of President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, as well as the decrees and resolutions of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers.
• Implementing moral and educational initiatives aimed at fostering a well-developed generation, enhancing and developing the universal, national, and spiritual worldview qualities of the youth.
• Successful implementation and advancement of creative reforms across the Republic;
• Promotion and cultivation of a healthy lifestyle philosophy among students;
• Enhancement of political and legal culture within the student body;
• Timely dissemination of information to students regarding social, political, and cultural events occurring both domestically and internationally;
• Establishment of a positive and healthy spiritual environment among students;
• Organization of students’ leisure activities and the establishment of various clubs aligned with the educational institution’s focus and specialization.

Every year, the Department of Organization of Pharmaceutical Work at Samarkand State Medical University organizes a spiritual and educational event entitled the Medicinal Plants Fair. The main purpose of this event is to provide students with meaningful leisure activities, enhance their interest in the pharmacy profession, promote the beneficial properties of medicinal plants, and broaden their understanding of the use of medicinal plants in medicine. The event was attended by representatives of the Dean’s Office, faculty members of the department, and fourth- and fifth-year students. During the fair, an exhibition and sale of various medicinal plants and herbal products were organized. In particular, SamMedFarm presented a wide range of medicinal plant products, including rose hips (Rosa canina), thyme (Thymus serpyllum), wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), hawthorn fruits (Crataegus spp.), and other herbal products.

 A spiritual and educational event titled “Remembering Babur” was organized at Student Dormitory No. 1 in honor of the 542nd anniversary of the birth of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. Fifth-year students performed elegant dances and poetry recitals as part of the celebration.

  To meaningfully organize students’ leisure time, the Department of Organization of Pharmaceutical Work, in collaboration with the Primary Organization of the Youth Union, held a “Balli Qizlar” pageant among female students at Student Dormitory No. 1. First- and second-year female students of the faculty participated in the competition, and those who demonstrated active involvement were awarded valuable prizes.

  Within the framework of the "Ma'rifat Ulashib" project in higher education institutions, employees of the Department of Organization of Pharmaceutical Work have organized a series of events for School No. 26 in the Samarkand district. Notably, on March 17, department staff met with the school administration and students to promote a culture of reading.

  A roundtable discussion was held with the students focusing on the importance of medicines for human health. During the discussion, students were informed about the critical role of medicines in treating various diseases, as well as how pharmaceuticals serve as effective tools for disease control and health improvement. The students actively participated in the dialogue.

  During the visit, discussions were also held regarding the development of ongoing cooperation with the school, and master classes were conducted for the students.

  For its active involvement in the Samarkand State Medical University stage of the nationwide Republican scientific and educational competition "Knower of Reforms," (“Islohatlar bilimdoni”) the Department of Organization of Pharmaceutical Work was awarded the title of "Best Department for Spiritual and Educational Work." (“Ma’naviy marifiy ishlar bo’yicha eng yaxshi kafedra”)
