At the department, 3rd, 4th, and 5th year students of the Faculties of Pediatrics, General Medicine, Dentistry, Medical Biology, Medical Prevention, Traditional Medicine, and the International Faculty study the disciplines “Neurology,” “Neurology. Pediatric Neurology,” “Neurology. Medical Genetics,” and “Neurostomatology” based on approved curricula.
The department also provides training of highly qualified specialists in the fields of Master’s programs and Clinical Residency.
Teaching for each course and faculty is carried out on the basis of the following approved documents:
– Qualification characteristics;
– State standard;
– Academic curriculum;
– Working curriculum;
Educational technologies include:
– amendments in accordance with the Order No. 80 of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
– approved diagnostic standards;
– international recommendations;
– modern educational technologies (graphic organizers, case study methods, and project-based learning).
The following technical facilities are used in the teaching process:
A telecommunication system has been established, which enables the demonstration of video films, presentations, multimedia programs, lectures, and practical classes on the topic through televisions connected to a central computer. A unified bank of scanned images has been created for standardized teaching, covering all sections of the academic curriculum.
- The library contains more than 60 educational resources in English, Uzbek, and Russian.
- The electronic library includes textbooks, atlases, study guides, teaching and methodological materials, and more.
For students, thematic patient case observations are organized in the wards of the Neurology Department.
