​Applications Open for Clinical Residency (Residency Training) for the 2026/2027 Academic Year!

The Ministry of Health invites all bachelor's degree graduates who wish to deepen their professional knowledge and become specialists in a specific medical field to apply for Clinical Residency (Residency Training).

Key Information and Important Dates

  • Application Method: Online via the official portal.
  • Application Period: From 20 July 2026 until 20 August 2026, 23:59.
  • Application Restriction: Each applicant may apply to only one higher education institution and one specialty during the admission cycle.
  • Entrance Examination Format: One-stage computer-based test.
  • Examination Dates: 25–30 August 2026.
  • Admission Criteria: Applicants who score at least 30% of the highest possible test score and rank within the allocated quota will be admitted.

Important Benefits and Regulations

  • For Doctors Working in Remote and Rural Areas: Doctors who have worked continuously for at least three years in remote or underserved areas will be admitted to Clinical Residency without an entrance examination, on a tuition-fee (contract) basis and outside the regular admission quota.
  • Family Medicine Specialty: Admission to the Family Medicine specialty is conducted under a targeted state-funded scholarship (full government grant).
  • Second Medical Specialty: Applicants seeking to obtain a second narrow medical specialty may study only on a tuition-fee (contract) basis.
  • In Case of a Tie Score

If applicants receive the same score for the last available seat within the allocated quota, all tied applicants will be recommended for admission on a tuition-fee (contract) basis.
