INTERACTIVE WEBINAR: EFFECTIVE FEEDBACK IN MEDICAL EDUCATION

Feedback: Turning Pandora’s Box into a Treasure Trove

Feedback is one of the most powerful tools in medical education, yet it frequently provokes anxiety and defensiveness among learners. This interactive webinar explores why feedback is often experienced as threatening and how educators can transform it into a catalyst for growth, confidence, and safer patient care.

Drawing on educational evidence and real clinical teaching scenarios, the session introduces a simple, practical framework for giving and receiving feedback in busy undergraduate and clinical settings. Participants will learn how to:

  • clearly separate feedback from assessment,
  • deliver behaviour-focused and psychologically safe feedback,
  • support students in using feedback effectively during consultations and clinical placements.
