The Government of the Slovak Republic has announced the opening of applications for the National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic, which aims to promote international academic cooperation with universities worldwide and to attract talented students, lecturers, and researchers to study and conduct research in Slovakia.

  Applications for the autumn intake are open until October 31, 16:00 (Slovak local time).

  Through this program, participants have the opportunity to study at Slovak universities free of charge or conduct research projects at research institutions. The duration of the scholarship depends on the chosen course or research program and ranges from 1 to 10 months (for students — from 3 to 10 months).

  Selected participants are exempted from tuition fees and provided with a monthly stipend as well as financial support to cover travel and living expenses.
