Samarkand State Medical University’s internationalization objectives, based on the University Development Concept, are aimed at strengthening its position in the international educational space. The main priorities of internationalization include increasing the number of students from foreign countries, developing joint projects with higher education institutions and research centers abroad, increasing the number of researchers and teachers teaching at educational institutions abroad, and increasing the number of joint programs with foreign higher education institutions that provide the opportunity to obtain double degrees.

  Samarkand State Medical University ( SSMU) is developing relations based on the principles of equality with more than 60 countries and international organizations, foreign universities, and research centers participating in international cooperation in the fields of education and science. The development of cooperation with universities in Europe, Asia, North America, and the CIS is based on the development of joint programs and educational mobility.

  Every year, the number of highly qualified foreign specialists, professors, students, and researchers visiting SSMU for the purpose of establishing cooperation, studying, improving professional skills, and participating in scientific conferences is increasing.
