Samarkand State Medical University on April 14 held an enlightening meeting with the participation of representatives of faculty and students on "Protection of youth from extremism based on education against ignorance" and "National dress - a mirror of spirituality".

  The event was opened by Vice Rector for Youth and Spirituality E.S. Tangirov, who spoke about the purpose and relevance of the topics of the meeting and introduced the guests. The speech of Mr. Sokhibnazar Boymurodov, the head of Samarkand department of the Committee for Religious Affairs, noted that extremism and terrorism are one of the most harmful threats to humanity, which undermine the stable development of states and civil solidarity, and deny tolerance, diversity and harmony in society. Today, extremism and terrorism have become a serious threat to the national security of individual countries and the world community as a whole, the speaker stressed.

  Then, the head of regional propaganda group Sanoat Zokhidova talked about modern dress culture. The culture of dress plays an important role in human life, as it is the main factor that reveals not only the appearance of a person, but also his/her spiritual world, aesthetics, moral qualities and potential. Attitudes towards dress culture reflects a person's views on beauty, elegance, manners, and in today's fast-paced world, both attention and demand for clothes are changing, while clothes are the culture of a nation. The speaker pointed out that national dress is a symbol of spirituality and a manifestation of true national values. During the meeting, a video "The negative consequences of extremism" were shown to the participants.

  The meeting was held in an open and friendly atmosphere. All invited guests were thanked on behalf of the university administration for their interesting and informative speeches.
