Applications for the provision and redistribution of grants to students have begun!

In the 2024/2025 academic year, applications for the provision and redistribution of educational grants to students accepted for study are accepted online until July 20 of this year through the website: https://interactive.sammu.uz/grants-contracts/all. Applications will be considered in accordance with the Regulation "On the procedure for granting and redistributing grants to students in Higher educational institutions", approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 149 dated March 10, 2025.

  To receive an educational grant, applicants must have an academic achievement (GPA) of at least 3.5 for the current academic year. Candidates' academic performance will be evaluated proportionally on an 80-point scale (the academic score is calculated by multiplying the GPA by 16).

  In addition, the social activity score of candidates is determined by the Commission for the Assessment of Social Activity and is evaluated on a 20-point scale in accordance with the criteria (calculated by dividing by 5, the results set out in Appendix No. 2 of the Regulation).

The indicator "Index of social activity" of students is evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • 1. Reading Culture – the results of the academic year's test results for recommended fiction;
  • 2. Participation in circles within the framework of 5 important initiatives – active participation and/or organization of circles at the university;
  • 3. Academic performance is a GPA indicator;
  • 4. Compliance with the internal regulations and the Code of Ethics of the University – according to the conclusion of the tutor and responsible persons;
  • 5. Achievements in competitions, Olympiads and sports competitions (international, national and regional levels) – based on supporting documents (diplomas, certificates);
  • 6. Attendance of classes without absenteeism and lateness, according to attendance logs;
  • 7. Activity in education lessons ("Ma'rifat darslari") – based on the results of attendance and involvement in events;
  • 8. Participation in volunteer and social activities – supporting documents and the conclusion of the tutor (or deputy dean of the faculty for 4th year students and older);
  • 9. Visits to theaters, museums, parks, cinemas and historical sites – supporting documents and the conclusion of the tutor (or deputy dean of the faculty for 4th year students and older);
  • 10. Playing sports and following a healthy lifestyle – membership in a sports club, participation in the University national team or clubs, supporting documents and the conclusion of a tutor (or deputy dean of the faculty for 4th year students and older);
  • 11. Activity in the spiritual and educational sphere - participation in educational and patriotic activities, including in social networks.

  Students must upload supporting documents on the "Social Activity Index" to the platform. https://interactive.sammu.uz/grants-contracts/all until July 10th. The uploaded documents will be reviewed according to the approved methodology and evaluated by July 25.

  In case of disagreement with the results of the calculation and assessment of the "Social Activity Index", students have the right to file an online complaint within 10 working days through the platform https://interactive.sammu.uz/application/leader.

Evaluation criteria and regulatory documents:

• Regulations on the procedure for granting and redistributing grants in higher education institutions;

• Appendix No. 2 to the Regulation — criteria for assessing social activity;

• A mechanism for assessing the "Index of Social activity" of students;

• A list of recommended fiction to read.
